Choosing Racism

Your grandparents were racists
Your parents were racists
You inherited their blood
You do not have to inherit their ideas

-Lternate Version-
Your great-grandparents gave them a hard time
Your grandparents gave them a hard time
Your parents gave them a hard time
You do not have to give them a hard time

Tierra Sin Steward

land the once sacred is now land the scarred
in too much light veiled is hidden the starred
pollution of light, the night, above and below
what room is left for the seeds that we sow?

the concretely and chemically clean wiped veneer
along which harsh vibrations induce dread and drear
whichever direction, the wheel will mis-steer
dying land mowed down, that much is now clear

we must trust a blind human to see the way
our split-able attention proves vision a delay
forgetting unseen beauty, for the suburban scene
all the pesticides, envy no longer is truly green

we know water is life but enough aren’t thirsty
corporations then can control it—only the worst see
water’s value unseated, and more biology deleted
this genocide of our own making nearly completed

Untitled Poem (excerpt from Zeroth Declaration Of The Concrete Jungle)

We are saying this again
We are saying this against
We are saying this for the first time
We are saying this for the zeroth time

Life is too short… in a concrete jungle
Roots are too short… in a destroyed soil
Straws are too long… in a misunderstood oil
Machines too strong… not reducing our toil
Mouths are drying… in conditioned air
Forests are drying… only deserts compare
Species are dying… extinction extraordinaire
Vigilance is dying… few stewards to care

Is life, Is Life, really, just to die?
Shouldn’t those still living, ought to try?
To this bring your despair, don’t merely sigh
Hell likes us numb, not when we cry

So cry, comrades, cry
Cry, comrades, cry
Because without tears
The drinking, the sweating
The bleeding, the urinating
Do not justify our privileged role in the water cycle
To roll along in this sacred circle of life

Water is life, let it flow
Land is life, let property go

**This begins 5 days of political poems this week**

P is for Propagating (my thoughts inexactly)

You needn’t apologize for being different, you only need apologize for being the same.

Justice is not to be found on a 12,000 year dusty walk of the pen, but by one dropping the pen and standing up. We cannot write our way, nor right our way to justice; laws themselves are in our way to justice. All we need is to quiet our words and access our empathetic imagination, standing right where we are.

I only write poetry in your absence; for in your presence there is poetry enough already.

I am too occupied fighting the delusions of others to focus on fighting my own.

We worry about our own future and the meddle in the present of others, when really we should worry about the future of others and focus on our own present. Society will remain backwards until this equation is flipped back.

You can destroy skin to discover muscles. You can destroy muscles to discover bone. You can destroy bone to discover death. But if you try to destroy death, you will destroy life in the process.

The toil of creating and maintaining walls is the putting of yourself under siege.

These will be the final days or the first days.

There is no more sleeping, humans will either wake up or be killed in their sleep.

The educated are the most severely distracted.

Invest your time and energy into structures, and you will find the structures to not be the only hollow thing.

I are alone. A riddle with a simple solution.

Fanon wrote with his own blood as well as with ink, something few other philosophers could say for themselves.

You don’t have to be out to prove the whole world wrong, the whole world is doing that itself.

Back in the day children had access to the best toys of all, each other. Now it is night, and we are alone.

Conquerors may take over entire continents, yet they will remain standing in the same hollowed out place in their bodies.

It’s the tragedy of who you brought to the commons. You didn’t bring humans, you brought the individualized.

Science—does it awaken us or weaken us?

Live and learn. Die and learn?

It’s when the dice stop rolling that you lose.

Have you played your roll? To do nothing is to gamble away something.

The problem with musical chairs is not when the chairs lack but when the music lacks.

It is the chair that topples us all.

In the daunting task to topple the state, you must make sure not to topple yourself.

The present is our greatest gift. Don’t overlook it or life will overlook you.

A leader does not teach others to kneel, but inspires them to rise.

Logic = Illogic

Law trials are not about justice, they are a sport between highly paid professionals who compete at the onlooker’s expense.

If the effort to make a fool of takes more than one person, there is more than one fool.

Those who do no wander will remain lost; stagnancy makes them more prone to frost; sedentary lifestyle has for all a cost; the entire Earth is to soon exhaust.

Their medicine filters in to your blood, and your blood filters out of you.

P is not for Publishing, nor Perishing. We fight on, and with more than our words!

Start thinking of this as all of our land, or it will soon be realized as all of our graveyard.

The difference between pettiness and localism is so profound that globalization stands in between them.

If more of the world was like you, there would be more of the world.

Love takes two—and makes them one.

A warrior allows blood on his hands to defend the blood in his veins; a fascist allows blood on his hands because he has no blood in his veins.

We don’t really know how to live on the land if we have to kill it first.

Laughing at death is the humor that is found by we who cry at life.

Before you opened your mouth, everything you said was perfect.

If you do not wander, you will remain lost.

If losing you is part of the journey, then I would rather lose the journey.

The ball is always in your court, and your court is much wider than they would tell you.

Whenever you are, time makes it so that you were.

Artist do not fall into poverty, they choose to not live the impoverished life of possessing.

Sheep need weapons, lions need only roar.

The city got nicer and nicer the farther away from it I moved.

One too wedded to their ideas must ask what they have divorced from.

It’s not condescending, I’m speaking as I would have ever; you just happened to have lowered yourself.

Of course death can be beat indefinitely—it’s called birth. Immortality doesn’t beat death, immortality beats life. Death makes it so that we do not stagnate in immortality.

Stare in to the abyss, and watch the abyss run away scared.

The beauty of a hug has not been outdone by art or philosophy, but it is being undone by a cold society that embraces science.

Humans are one of the few animals in this zoo that are not given the compliment of a cage. They can be shown images to create docility that other animals would rage at.

If death were to leave us we would be on the ground begging for life to leave us, too.

The walls are not stagnant even if those inside them are.

You know intention has died when you are at the doorstep of the random.

Become a fascist and destroy humans, or become a human and destroy fascism.

Laws are the theft of justice from the human animal in which it intrinsically dwells.

Do not envy the eagles for the they must always look down; envy your future self, for that is to be freer and more beautiful than you.

Children are easy to scare because they have wild imaginations; adults are easy to scare because they have no imaginations.

D is Dumpstering…

X is for Xotic (My Thoughts Inexactly)

Your beauty is such that my eyes feel you and my skin sees you.

Sex is the agony of being in two bodies.

Swallow pure difference, and it is you who are digested.

We make history, or we will be deleted from it.

The robots wrapped in human skin will be envied by the human robots who have forsaken their skin.

Do not be so swift to make smoothness and conformity a highest goal. Smooth is a tombstone, yet engraved in it is a time of death.

The supreme trance artist is as a perfect lover, knowing exactly when and how to change intensity and rhythm to heighten the harmonization.

1 body in to 1,000,000 bodies in, the zeroes start to blur and are thus forgotten.

Love is to be the fire for something beyond yourself—if you keep it inside, you will burn.

X is for X10ding, and X-10-CIV is not only 94, and X is four. Choices are boundless, but binds are ever a choice. We only remain in the shadow of the Romans if we remain bent over their traditions.

Sitting Upside Down, Jersey

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that covers the vibrant land with chemicals, concrete, and death?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that has war machines dropping bombs on life to protect it?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that deports living community members while importing deadly, destructive corporations?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that privileges economic systems to the great loss of ecosystems?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that has us giving more time to a dead screen than those who breathe?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that gives corporations the same rights as humans?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that has us eating costly globalized food instead of local Earth food?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that has fossil fuel cars exercising while our bodies atrophy?

Are we going to sit with this upside down situation
that focuses our efforts on the globe, instead of stewarding the Earth?

Comrades, if we continue to sit upside down
then we are sure to fall…

¡YA BASTA!
