My Thoughts Inexactly: Y is for Youthanizing

Throw all of yourself at life, for life will then have no other option but to absorb you. Throw anything less, and you will be bounced back in to the abyss from whence you came.

Spiders are forever caught in their own webs. Leave them their to starve!

The death of death is sure to coincide and accelerate with—not prevent—the death of birth. Only a mind marred by western concepts could be blinded to this.

Fooled are those who conflate dying with aging.

If we pour everything in to a last gasp, we may discover it to be our first true breath. Don’t save yourself for the future, for then the future will be safe from you.

Giving your hope to the future is something that might be blown away with the winds of time, but giving your promise to the future is to be the winds of time.

What is life if not the creation of beauty despite the circumstance of limitations?

If the alcohol is to loosen you up for dancing, so be it. If the alcohol is to loosen the music up, you are better of dancing in the silence.

Speak love to power—give it a dose of that which it is least familiar with.

The more of an empath you are, the more times you die during a single life.

A lack of leaders has not produced a lack of followers.

You are going to die one day, why be miserable and sedentary and spread it across several days?

The land breathed us in to life; how long can we continue if we are suffocating the land?

Children are the only afterlife we should be thinking about, and that afterlife is in great doubt.

There is no space for a leader of the free world, there is only room there for leaders.

Keep showing up. There is no investment in the future that compares to your throwing yourself in to every new present.

May the remainder of your life be the rest of your time, not your rest time.

The young die, or the young live—the old are perpetually dying.

Believe in something that most people fail to do over the course of their lives—believe in yourself!

A culture that has devolved so low to produce individuals saying “what does it matter? I’ll be dead in a 100 years” does not have much farther to devolve. Though an individual speaks such an utterance, it is spoken for the total culture.

When it becomes an eat dog world, it’s not far from an eat human world.

“It is written” is cured by fire; we can burn by flame or forgetfulness.

Before we rise up we must wake up, for a revolution is in name only if is attended to by sleep walkers.

Flags are ever woven with the thread of war so long as they exist by the threat of war.

Extinction is a serious topic, precisely because there is no more kidding.

When the energy reveals itself to you, you will finally be revealed to you.

Water is the only blueprint I will follow.

Many that commit suicide don’t wish for its reversibility, but many who commit homicide do come to wish for this. Think before you arm yourself, and think even and most especially of what ideas others have armed you with.

Jesus was insane, so why shouldn’t he pop up at a mental hospital from time to time?

The healthiest water is always flowing, and so too is the healthiest love. Don’t keep it all to yourself—find love for another, and love will be finding you.

The stupidity of recent nostalgia is that those who see a return to previous times as an improvement fail to see that those very previous times will return them right back to our current struggles, with the problems only multiplied.

Don’t blame a fire for burning, blame that which is old and dried up.

Why do those who supposedly represent the people always dress in the fashion that they represent the government?

If you are not literate in love, fluency in all the world’s languages will not save you. They will be as impotent as the words in a book never opened.

Only evil can be spoiled by love.

The save-up-and-work-until-retirement-age model isnt going to work for the generation being born right now. they will all be retired without retirement. Due to in large part by the retiring without retirement of their recent ancestors.

Don’t ever lose the love—better to lose yourself.

Radical politics without permaculture is rootless; permaculture without radical politics will never flower.

Nature needs to be doing more of the work than we are, or we are doing something wrong. We are certainly doing something wrong to nature.

Feeling the heights of existence one will also feel the lack and the loss, for the dilated eye sees new highs and new lows.

Most humans don’t realize how much structures confine them, because structures confine them.

Environments that dissuade your attention and your intention, are not environments to reproduce—we certainly won’t be reproducing in them for much longer.

Love—because evolution is backwards without it.

Thank goodness we say things but do other.

Anger is love on the defensive, not hate on the offensive.

In folklore lies the most potent wisdom, layered over and diluted so that it might be more palatable to the gradually evolving mind. Taking folklore literally, as with religion, is to drink a laxative for want of nourishment.

When in doubt, get out.

When you give politicians the benefit of the doubt they do indeed benefit.

One does not gather arrows when the bow is broke. Perhaps one should.

The medical industrial complex will keep you on the floor instead of under it.

If we put our heads in the clouds, then at least our bodies might be out of the pits of hell. When malevolent forces put them there, they have surely decapitated us.

There is no single place so beautiful that the eyes of the beholder won’t eventually get restless with boredom.

When life opens a new door, many other doors are opened concurrently. The more new doors civilization opens, the more other doors are shut forever.

Money is a proxy by which those who have little of it are enslaved by those who have amassed (and created) lots of it.

There will be no posthumous publications writ large, no histories of our genocides published in the future. The Earth’s story will not be concluded—it will be precluded.

Entrepreneurs and central bankers both know how to make money; one group uses their brains, the other uses a printer.

You cant see the consequences of past bad decisions when you are the consequence. You are the shattering mirror, and yet in your lowest state you are now freer to reflect any new light unforeseen by the breakers.

As we lean towards hell on Earth, the best remedy is to grow heaven on Earth. Don’t think of your hopes for utopia as naive, think of the thoughts against it as unnecessarily jaded.

No evil is necessary, there is only the evil we have wedded so deeply to ourselves that we are stubbornly at union with it. If such is our disposition, we have to ask ourselves if we are necessary.

A culture that taboos sexuality is dangerous to, among other things, its own existence.

Without behaving different, thinking different leaves one as alienated as one who thinks the same. A good apple on a rotten apple tree will rot with the worry of catching rot.

Christmas deals in fake trees or dead trees. If we want a holiday that celebrates live trees, we would want to forsake the idolized super-natural for the natural.

Praying will not save you—it will save the oppressors their energy to repress you, because you are electing to do it yourself.

The eucatastrophe is only seen by those with eyes still blinking.

Despite the vast bleakness to modernity, there is still space for great beauty and sublimity. I can think of nothing more stirring than the overcoming and destruction of the banal and life-suffocating artifices, an epic turnaround just around the corner. Thus the allure of revolution, which in its authentic expression has at its core the love of the other outside and inside of us that is oppressed.

A choir that wants to sing many different songs is not a choir for long; nor is it a choir that always sings the songs of one member.

Literacy is the foundation of all propaganda.

There is no finer a foundation for a fascist subject than a religious upbringing that requires strict adherence. High technology is the new religion, and it holds its subjects spellbound.

If we keep killing multiple birds with a single stone, we will run out of birds. The Earth’s dreams of flight will then be grounded, and the ground’s dreams of Earthing with other animals will fail next, buried in an unwaking nightmare.

Think for yourself—you’re the only one that ever will. If not, others will have you thinking for them.

Get caught up on history and you can leverage your power in to the future; get caught up in history and your power will be eclipsed as you are bent over a text.

We are far more likely to leave this planet by extinction rather than by spaceships, and the more of our precious time we invest in global and super-global solutions, the more quickly the human problem will be solved.

We cannot heal the wounds of the world if we do not first feel the wounds of the world. Mourning is essential for a new dawn.

Half of the battle is getting people’s hearts in the right place, the other half is getting their heads in the right place. The whole battle is lost if this is done in the wrong order, for a head that is fully aware of oppression combined with a malevolent heart is quite a deadly foe.

Politicians can’t help themselves but help themselves at the expense of others. We can help ourselves not helping politicians (at our own expense).

What is called the acceleration of efficiency is truly the hastening of a deficiency.

Slavers don’t lure their victims with a closed cage.

Karma might kill you but your dead enemy won’t.

Dystopia doesn’t taste bad, it is flavorless. It is to drink without ever quenching any thirst.

There’s nothing more dangerous than a criminal that needs to commit more crimes to cover up previous ones. The string of crimes around is sure to thicken in to a rope.

To kill a governor, a person must oversee murder; but to kill a government, a person must oversee themselves.

It’s better to should all over other people as you do on to yourself. Don’t fear being labeled a hypocrite, fear being without dreams of somewhere better that should be.

Most did not choose to leave the land, yet here we are, just as fish who have left the water by the pelican’s envelope. We are dying but not yet fully digested… return to the land before the death of either we or the bird precludes such a reunion.

The church bell is the official toll for the great variety of death incurred—the death of unguarded polyamory, the death of unmarked temporality, the death of unconventional spirituality, and the death of untold bodies. The allure of its curving form is no less a straitjacket, and it is non-ironical that it is composed of metal, for it displaces an unbiased gathering of evidence that henceforth must conform to a statistical distribution. A cracked bell has not led to liberty, only with its dismissal and burial under the Earth can such hideous vibrations yet be quelled.

Wishing for that which is not, is a sin against that which is.

Part of being stupid is not knowing that you are stupid. Part of being unconscious is not being conscious of your unconsciousness.

We love to cry and cry to love. A growing dystopia shows us that these two expressions of feelings do not stand opposite one another, but die alongside one another to be replaced by their absences.

Those who take the stance of “wait and see” will get to see their own demise at the hands of those who act without full evidence.

Revolution that rises and falls with one man is not very revolutionary.

The more time spinning words, the less time available to pirouette ourselves.

If we only take our revolution to the comfortable shallow levels, we cede the great depths of the ocean to the powerful establishment that will dilute our efforts quicker than a tide changing.

As we continue to lose steam from this peculiar suburban era that is quickly burning through natural resource piles, visit places that make sense, rather than cost dollars. If you must, go by car, and go to places fully aware that you are a visitor, for your next trip may be one way as a refugee.

Humans are the deep roots of trees, the mobility of swinging primates, and the vision of eagles. Yet if we stay in one place there’s little reason to swing, and our vision atrophies because of the lack of light with our roots twisted in to the ground.

Laws that justify other laws which justify the original laws—let yourself not be part of this chain of prevents!

notes 4 today: 2016-12-03 (Starving Government; Programming Humans; Ulterior Motives Of Facebook; Unusual Extinction)

title: Starving Government

You aren’t going to get mad at a chasm for existing as your main way of ridding yourself of the chasm—you are going to avoid the chasm. Being angered by a fungal disease that plagues a certain region is best followed up with leaving that region. Government is a chasm, or a disease, that is best dealt with by avoidance rather than the devotion of energetic emotions of anger. If it is truly a disease and not a force that fosters greater life, it will die out as it lacks those to feed on (and if it is a force for good, or what parts of it are a force for good, these will endure and morph to be not bound up to governance).
So the best approach to a parasitic government is to not approach it. Give as little of yourself—temporally and spatially—to its vast and open digestive system that is always taking nutrients away from the many hosts, whether they be humans, other life forms, or minerals and the air. Government is a long way from starving out, but the hungrier it is and the more we evade it and help others to do so, the weaker it will become and it might collapse. Perhaps a war of attrition is the best way to rid ourselves of government, though I daresay that it needs to be done in tandem with other efforts. No dogmatism should be settled on, but some guiding principles are useful, too.

We are starving for government the way Candida Albicans has us starving for sugar… best to starve the starver!

title: Ulterior Motives Of Facebook
The “seen [time x] ” read receipt indication found below messages acts as a deterrent to someone’s leaving facebook and returning to their lives outside of it before responding to a message that had a question posed. Facebook—with full knowledge of the pressures that awkwardness creates, particularly the awkwardness by a non-response—uses with great success the “seen at” read receipt. It keeps people engaged with facebook that much longer by taking away the persons ability (another example of the instinctual flight response being undermined) to just evade communication and play dumb. The forcing of response is an example of infrastructure coercing those who dwell on and in it to alter their habits reactively. Facebook benefits monetarily with more advertisement time, but there are more insidious benefits, too, as with all the forces who (mistakenly) laud social engineering and social control.

My Thoughts Inexactly: W is for Willing, otra vez

The easy road gets harder as your body atrophies, and the hard road gets easier as your body is exercised along it.

Speak visceral words such that one loses not only their sleep, but also their sleepiness.

Love is the ultimate rebellion against individualism.

Remove all that has been instilled in you, and then find that there is more of you not less of you.

If you are too careful—and you homestead in the forest quietly and peacefully with only a few friends—you may let death pass you by. Your FOMO from the extinction event of our epoch is truly warranted!

The asymmetrical conquers in an instant what the symmetrical can’t even imagine given an eternity.

Ideology is the surrogate brain you rely on when your own is faulty or missing.

Not only do we need to rebel against the state, we need to rebel in a very deep way against ourselves. The bodies and minds we inhabit have become very static, in many ways.

You cant see the consequences of past bad decisions when you are the consequence.

On Earth a hundred years from now, all that will remain are the scars we left, and possibly our progeny. It is up to us whether or not the two are the same thing.

In Defense of Libertarians (TMLF part 2)

In response to Capitalism is Cruelty and this facebook discussion which indicates fundamental differences and problems of reconcilability between two general camps—anarcho-capitalists and anarcho-communists—I’ve decided to republish my responses to a fellow “ancom” where I don’t think it makes sense to try at this juncture to unwed the people from the political identity of “ancap” that they dress themselves in. I like to think that I’ve undressed down to a naked animal, and my skin and inner organs are all “ancom”, but whether this is ontologically accurate, and important to conceive of at this juncture, I throw in doubt. When an important alliance looms between our two groups, which is arguably always an important alliance to make so long as these two groups of people exist, I am quite fine with putting these differences aside, no matter how much the idea of private property “gets under my skin”, to mix metaphors! So, here is my responses to what he said on facebook and in his one article:

[sic]

I read Cap is cruelty, and I agree fully with all you are saying (though I am doing theoretical anthropology and am guessing that the seeds were sown more than 10,000 years ago, but no matter property is an ancient burden that has been unsuccessfully challenged heretofore). I guess I just feel a time pressure and if we hold the bar so high for full on mental revolution to a sense that mutual aid and sharing are the ideals that we are ready to unbag all the cultural baggage we’ve inherited, we will lose many people along the way that might have been a few years away from that leap, and might be turned off to the ideas if they are too much of a radical leap. I’ve visited some intentional communities where, to me, they seem at the forefront in western culture towards retribalizing in a sharing, horizontalist as possible fashion. some are only a couple of generations away, in my opinion, of realizing your and my dreams for people. obviously that collides and is not enough given the speed of the holocene extinction event/desertification, a real crisis indeed. but the teacher in me would rather “chunk” mental revolution and i see being a libertarian that doesn’t like global expansion, itself the most harmful general trend to the environment, to subaltern people, to dangerous new military arms weaponizations, i would rather these people be included than excluded in this movement and perhaps their culturally acquired ideas of rabid individualism will start to soften as they find the comraderie with others that the culture was unable to provide them with beforehand. Psychological barriers are so deep, I have found this true within myself, and they generally need to be crawled out of, so as to slowly stretch them. It’s taken me a long time to get to the latent content and fully be conscious of this nightmarish reality, and break down the self-inner-monologue bs narratives. I give a lot of credit to people even being libertarian and having a sense that imperialism is wrong. it to me is a huge leap in the right direction, one that should not be admonished by any who have had a lifetime to think deeply and move their mental states further along. But I think your article might argue against what you’re proposing here, which is “the first step is to get more people talking about it.” I completely agree with this sentiment. Peace!

and lastly wanted to say there still are indigenous and psuedo indigenous people who are farther ahead than intentional communities, and surely should be learned from. the difference is they possibly never lost the core of sharing going back tens of thousands of years, whereas westerners really have to go to some core instinct that private property is wrong and rebuild from that, aided of course by ideology of anarchists or revolutionary marxists.

and lastly lastly, ha I keep having add ons, or new ideas (which may work to support what I’ve been getting at) – private property is not just solely something that exists in human minds and therefore perpetuates because of their ideas. property is outside of humans in historical Alien archaeological visitors viewing our planet shortly after we all were extincted would be able to decipher that we were “thing obsessed” people by noting both how our skeletons were gathered and separated in our dwellings, but maybe even more by our infrastructure and mass strewn about separatized possessions. It is a battle of ideas in our minds for sure, but it is also a battle against hard and individualized matter that has suffered us and our recent ancestors who industrialized and thingified so much of the physical planet. Though I call myself an anarchocommunist, how often do my habits unawares stray back to the default of being possessive, spiteful, paranoid? Not infrequently enough! And how often does an an cap do something cooperative, or feeling something mutual? Probably more often than would be given credence. We are all works in progress/regress. Let us throw out the gray bathwater, but certainly not any comrades rinsing and refining, or polluting their halfway decent ideas. We need all the comrades that we can get in this lopsided, terrain destroyed battle for the ecosphere to survive this human-led extinction effort.

The caged bird might not sing so much if the cage could force its voice in to a monotone.

If the body is allowed to wander the mind can wander with it, not away from it as is the norm of the sedentary lifestyle.

It is very common to know a lie, it is not very common to know that it is a lie.

Stage 4 is progress over stage 3, as voiced by the cancer holding the microphone.

The pen is mightier than the sword is mightier than the lot of us; what devious advancements we’ve made in devising cages for ourselves.

Fight becomes constant when flight is uprooted from a nomadic turned static animal.

If you can’t make heads or tails of something, perhaps it has successfully taken you beyond the cash nexus.

Forgetting the victims of the past is to forget oneself—whether a sad memory of the past or the future, their end and ours is only a matter of time. Awareness moves Chronos aside as the great god of motion.

Death is not a moment, it is a lifetime of moments lost.

Having all the money in the world can be a nice dream, but having money in all the world is a nightmare, one that we have not yet awoken from.

“There is nobody who cares for the Earth” is not a lamentation about the present—it is a future reality if the Earth is robbed of the ability to support life. Suicide disguised as theft, theft disguised as progress.

Let the clouds bring the rain down, not bring you down.

An eye’s blind spot can get you killed, an intellectual blind spot can have you killing others without seeing them.

Money would be the most obvious of abstractions were it not constantly being thrown in our faces and rubbed on our genitals, supplanting our very deepest desires.

Full spectrum dominance is a low-point for all involved, including the dominators.

If you give up on today in the hopes of a miracle tomorrow, chances are you will get neither. Tomorrow is built by today, but so too is it destroyed.

The only thing easier than stealing candy from a baby is selling candy to a baby, especially the old babies that are hopelessly addicted and are passed the stage of learning the value of what they are trading away. The house and cars made of gingerbread still allure Hansel and Gretel 200 years older but none the wiser.

That so many think that more government is needed around us shows how advanced the disease of being governed is within us.

You are not all alone in feeling all alone; in truth it is the main way in which we are all together. Most westerners only hope to pair off—larger intimate groupings are only attempted in the dark places, and so when light returns so does the policing of the self.

Our journey to the ad absurdum has us gaining pounds and shedding the critical faculties necessary to even understand the endpoint we are driving to. If you do not tremble, you do not yet get that we have gone far too far.

To be optimistic when there is no context to support it is to overlook the negative sign at the beginning of a large sum.

Property and money are the prison, the oligarchs merely the current prison guards. Overthrowing the oligarchs usually results in new guards, as there are always some prisoners who tire of the walled courtyard and would happily trample fellow inmates to ascend to a guard tower. However, power does not reside chiefly in those shifting personalities but the inherited prison structures dressed up in flags, laws, and propaganda that speaks of liberty.

Can we be considered to be failing our grandchildren if our actions preclude their even being born?

Analytic philosophy is but a euphemism for dis-continental philosophy, a philosophy that breaks every holism in to discrete islands to then push down in to the ocean. It drowns to spite the air, but only spites itself as unimpressed continental philosophers breathe from a well grounded position of authentic introspection.

My Thoughts Inexactly: G is for Gathering (edited)

The clouds of your heaven cast a great shadow over our Earth.

If everyone around you is in bonds, it’s bound to happen that you are included.

The best defense against the powerful is to become power oneself; not abusive and threatening, but resilient and inspiring.

Anarchists—we make no prisoners!

A system that feeds equally on a person’s love as well as their hate is best starved.

When is the soup that suffers great dilution finally called water?

It is the fixed category that will always break.

We cannot heal the wounds of the world if we do not first feel the wounds of the world. The subaltern have a voice if you monologue with your empathy.

A changing of the guard does little, yet a change in what is being guarded is quite another matter. Later perhaps we can relax our guard, and then leave guarding altogether. Deep in to the future we can just be gardeners.

A hundred years ago, in the middle of “the great war”, few could have imagined that a hundred years from then, there would be a much vaster war against life, without many shots being fired or bombs dropped, but as a daily effort to grind down the vitality of the Ecosphere—a war of attrition without victors.

In a world where it is so easy to make deals with the devil, we must ask ourselves if we are already in hell.

With the electric chair the state could kill individuals by turning the power on; now with the electric grid the state could kill masses by turning the power off.

Objectivity is a particular flavor of subjectivity that belittles the subject, thus drawing a false contrast that makes objects seem “larger than life”.

Most of the wars throughout life’s history have been between different lifeforms; now we are in a totally different war which is between life and anti-life. Life forms and life deforms—deformation through information. It would be too gracious and disingenuous to call these forces aligned against life, for truly they are just vacuously maligned.

Stand up for what is right, especially if the low ceiling must be broken.

Better to have the enemy’s blood on our hands after their murder, than to have your friend’s blood on your hand after a handshake with the enemy. Best to have your enemy’s blood on his own hands, when he removes himself from the unjust position as an enemy to life.

Your best doctor shares the same names as you—so too should your greatest lover, and if such is the case, the need for a doctor is removed.

Mediating middle men only have their proboscis to insert. Atrophy their medium by atrophying our own.

It is most often the corrupt who scramble for uniforms with “good” translated on them. Only in such modern and delocalized times could reputations not precede such peoples, where anonymity is the most commonly utilized tool that all who would do evil use to evade discernment.

The fear of not living ought to take precedence over—and not be equated with—the fear of death.

In a world where there are so many instances of the complete opposite being true, one must wonder if that world itself is tending towards complete falsity.

There is nothing wrong with a destructive critique so long as it is sung from a constructive and non-suicidal grounding.

The most embarrassing thing is that we feel great embarrassment over so many things that are perfectly natural.

What separates police from the rest of the population is that no police officer can ever be labeled an “innocent” victim.

To nurture nature out of children as modernity does, is a rejection of all that is innately valuable in both processes.

The original taboo is just that. Its generality is the rug buried deep below its debris pile of detailing specifics.

Getting off our asses is an assertion that we must take literally at first, but that we must also make figurative as we develop mobility of body and mind, if we are to truly get off our asses.

The Anarchists of the Late Roman Empire, a cautionary tale

Little is said of the anarchists of the Roman Empire. Little can be said, after all, for they were a quickly destroyed people.

–Background–

Long before they were destroyed, the Roman anarchists coexisted—albeit in a marginalized and sometimes shunned social standing—with other “citizens” and Roman dwellers including migrants (some forced) who generally left them alone as they were no threat to their own frenzied feeding off the fat of the bloated empire. Many anarchists were even open about their distaste for dwelling in a territory occupied by a coercive force—much in a manner akin to the sovereign citizens of this 21st century—yet they were never considered a threat by the formal authorities nor any common “patriots” (if there could be said to be any). Ideologies didn’t mean much anymore, save that the more cautious paid lip service to Christianity to hedge against leaving themselves open to any vulnerability; this choice to Christianize depended entirely on what part of the empire the said persons lived. Indeed, the vacuum of thought was empty and vacuous despite this modest attachment to Christianity; the idea of ideas was at a very low point, a precursor to the coming illiteracy (à la the dark ages) to sweep over the land.

Some of the younger and rowdier in the anarchist circles did get in to trouble from time to time, not because of their ideas but because of their actions. They would openly criticize the empire, occasionally staging protests of this theme, and throw rocks at soldiers, and would sometimes gain public attention when one of their own was jailed leading to further protests and jailings. There is no documentation showing any corrections beyond the jail time, which gives further credence that the anarchists were not taken seriously. Perhaps they themselves did not take themselves seriously enough, and though they did access the analytic abilities to discern arbitrary power in a world where such power was the norm, they were unable to maintain the energy levels to constantly defend and critique against such a naturalized evil, and so they played in to it unconsciously. This subcultural existence went on for more than a century, and there was no urgency on the part of any of the aforementioned peoples to change the situation, anarchist nor others.

–Ground–

One year, when a particularly harsh climate evolved a series of particularly harsh storms (financial, demographical, ecological, psychological, infrastructural, unseasonable weather), so called “barbarians” were allowed in, or forced in, and resource caches were quickly overwhelmed and depleted. Perhaps had the anarchists sued for alliances, and a system of mutual aid with these oppressed barbarian groups sooner, their own disasters could have been averted; but indifference reigned the day, and in the turmoil of events that suddenly happened upon the empire, such collusion was precluded. That year the vast weaknesses of the empire were quickly revealed to those thoughtful enough to notice, but they, like the other infortunados, were helpless to prevent their situation from quickly worsening. Within a few short years the peoples dwindled, and absolutely all of the anarchists perished. Some survived, but they completely left and forgot about their anarchism because they hadn’t cultivated deep and resonate mobile roots that they could carry with and within themselves. Little beyond the Christian church and the cunning and powerful were able to maintain any standing above mere survival; the laws were usurped and fashioned to suit their needs, enabling the ushering in of a future feudal ordering. There were no anarchist maxims to be uttered in prevention or refutation of these naked unchecked power grabs.

Not all was bad: great were the times of those who were on the outer periphery of the empire—not yet made dependent on the empire and able to now be free of the paralyzing yoke, returning to their own localized habits (some subsistence). The land, too, started to heal and soil erosion was reversed and animal populations came back almost miraculously. Unfortunately in that land too many bad seeds were left in the soil, allowed to slowly germinate and prefabricate the next round of wider and deeper oppression. The stewards were dead, or elsewhere…

–Foreground–

They had dwelt mostly on land that was stoned to death, paved by such hardened materials that smothered the ecosystem. They were being kept afloat by layers of artifice that they were unable to notice because of feelings of dejection mixed with distraction—circuses. Usually they were relaxed (or lulled), and their vigilance was sleepy. The anarchists were subalterned by a combination of forces, most of which were not calculated in to their critique. They died, and their children died—who they so wanted a better world for—not because of government per se, but rather because of the real forces of the world that the government insulated, distorted, and buffered against. The empire was well on its way to death because of its absurd middleman position, but unfortunately its tall walls obfuscated a view of the tidal waves crashing just outside. The anarchists knew the empire to be systemically weak, and that it may fall because of its own immanent problems, yet they did not create their own resilient human systems to mitigate their own weaknesses. The anarchists goaded the government to reveal its monstrous self and come and slaughter them, but ironically it was when the government itself imploded that so did the Roman anarchist communities. They thought they had imagined life without government, but either their images were not truly liberated, or they failed to realize the images externally before the catastrophic events unfolded.

Perhaps ROMAN Empire stands for Radically Oppressive Militarized American National EmpireL, but perhaps not… let’s not wait and see, but rather let us roll our dice while they are still ours to role!

L ROMAN could additionally equal really/radically oppressive/overly militarized american national empire
